Holly Mingo
Holly has been a committee member for many years and her daughter Annie was also a member of the club.
Ann Brown
Ann recently retired as the Donkey Sanctuary director, after 30 years working for this local charity. She is a BHSII Stage 4, with 45 years experience of coaching and judging dressage, showjumping, showing, side saddle, long reining, carriage driving, equine behaviour and rehabilitation. Since retiring Ann has more time to contribute to supporting the club and has recently joined the committee for 2024
Ann Pollard
Ann spent many years organising the club training, before handing this over to Sarah B-A, and now completes are meeting minutes and volunteering at the events we run. Always willing to lend a hand she is an invaluable member of the committee
Sarah Hitchings
Sarah and her ex-racer Ginge are active members of the club, representing SOVRC in horse trials, as well as showjumping and arena eventing. Sarah runs the annual Arena Eventing Area Qualifier, making it look easy, despite the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes
Mercedes Pemberton-Matthews
Mercedes and her coloured boy Harley have been regulars on the dressage teams for many years now, and particularly enjoy dressage to music & quadrille. Mercedes organises the Senior Dressage teams for the area competitions
Sarah Box-Adair
Sarah enjoys training and competing with the club in dressage and the smaller jumping classes, preferring not to leave the ground over too big a fence. She & her mare Diva are found at most Area competitions and Diva can turn her hooves to most things. Daughter Laya is also a very active member of the club with Jessie
Jo Bollino
Jo has been a member of SOVRC for many years and on the committee for almost as many, and she is our Club Chairman. She has several horses, and enjoys competing in all disciplines. Jo's OTTB Kev is still going strong now in his twenties, representing the club at ,most area competitions
Cheryl Beer
Cheryl has been a member of the club for many years and on the committee for almost as long. Always a reliable team member she competes in all disciplines on her young horse Bud. Cheryl particularly enjoys eventing and qualified for Badminton Grass Roots on her mare Taw, as well as on Bud
Daphne Pemberton
Daphne is Cheryl's mum & Mercedes's grandma, and as well as being Assistant Club Secretary she also runs Daph's Cafe, offering delicious cakes and hot drinks for sake at our Unaffiliated Dressage Winter Competitions
Anne Stenning
Anne joined the committee in 2021 as Club Treasurer, putting her accountant day job skills to good use, and has the unenviable task of keeping track of the club finances. As well as looking after the financial side of the club Anne has does the majority of the Camp organising, ensuring trainers, riders and horses are all in the right place at the right time! Anne has two horses, Princess & Joey, and is an active member of the club, enjoying jumping as well as dressage.
Nicola Morrison
Nicola does a brilliant job managing the senior jumping and eventing teams, as well as competing her own horses for the club for many years. She also produces our club newsletter, as well as providing the evening entertainment at camp with Lou
